The new Kawasaki ER-6n is the naked version of Kawasaki's successful sports tourer motorcycle the Ninja 650. The Kawasaki ER-6n is built around a double-pipe perimeter-style frame that is visible to enhance its overall look. It is designed more for urban riding unlike its faired sibling which is more of a sports tourer. The motorcycle looks very compact and gets a high-riding fuel tank, new headlamp and split seats with a big grab rail. The Kawasaki ER-6n also gets a new instrument cluster which looks very modern. The ER-6n is powered by a 649cc, liquid-cooled, parallel twin engine that develops 71bhp of power @ 8500rpm and 64Nm of torque @ 7000rpm . The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox that transfers power to the rear wheel via a chain drive. Kawasaki has confirmed that it's the same engine as the Ninja 650 and that the company has made no changes in terms of power delivery.
Kawasaki ER-6n is available only in one colour for now, it competes mainly with the Hyosung GT 650N, Ducati Monster 795 and Triumph Daytona 675.
