The Suzuki Hayate is a commuter motorcycle targeted at office-goers and middle-aged buyers. Suzuki Hayate is one among the new range of the products introduced by Suzuki Motorcycle India. The Suzuki Hayate features a basic rider interface with an analogue speedometer and black and white dials. It features a clear lens headlamp that is nicely integrated into the fairing. The Suzuki Hayate is powered by a 112cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that pumps out 8.3bhp at 7,500 rpm and 8.8Nm at 5,500rpm mated to a four-speed gearbox. Suzuki Hayate has a claimed fuel economy figure of 65 kmpl.It features a tubular frame chassis with telescopic suspension at the front and a swing arm, and coil springs at the rear. It gets a fuel tank capacity of 8.5 litres with a usable reserve of 2 litres.The Hayate is 2030mm long, 720mm wide, 1070mm high and has a wheelbase of 1260mm. Suzuki Hayate gets ample ground clearance of 165mm and weighs 114kg.The Suzuki Hayate is available in six colours metallic lush green, pearl mira red, glass sparkle black (red graphics), black sparkle black (blue graphics), pearl moonstone grey and pearl mirage white.The Suzuki Hayate competes with the Honda Dream Yuga, Dream Neo, Bajaj Discover and Hero Splendor Plus.
