The BMW K1600 GT adds flair to BMW Motorrad India's touring range of motorcycles. The BMW K1600 GT gets a transversely mounted inline six-cylinder 1649cc 24 valve engine producing a maximum of 158bhp and 175Nm of torque. A six-speed gearbox transmits all that power to the rear-wheel through a shaft. The motorcycle BMW K1600 GT is built on a bridge-type frame made of cast aluminium. The front suspension gets a Motorrad duolever, central spring strut, at the rear it gets a Motorrad paralever (single-sided swing arm) keeping it 146mm above the ground. Stopping power comes from a four-piston caliper biting into two 320mm discs at the front and a single 320mm disc at the rear. It gets 120/70 ZR17 tyre at the front and a 190/55 ZR17 tyre at the rear.
BMW K1600 GT generate 160bhp @ 7500rpm and 174Nm @ 5000rpm torque by using 1649cc Engine. The breaking system of BMW K1600 GT of Twin disc, floating brake discs, diameter 320 mm, at front and Single disc brake, diameter 294 mm, double-piston at rear. The front of motorcycle BMW Motorrad Duolever suspension, while the rear gets Cast aluminium single-sided swing arm mono shock. The suspension system works flawlessly and effortlessly. True to its lineage of being a touring motorcycle the BMW K1600 GT comes with a higher-than average tank range of 440km as claimed by the manufacturer. It gets a 24 litre fuel tank with a usable reserve of four litres.
