The Platina100 is the most affordable motorcycle in Bajaj's line-up that has been targeted at consumers who are looking for a hassle-free commuter motorcycle.Visually, the first thing about Platina is that it comes across as a premium segment bike. Small details like the clear glass turn-signal indicators, the SNS Rear Suspension, the black painted engine and exhaust pipe, the elegant instrumentation and those beautiful aluminum finish alloy wheels look really good. And the beauty is not just skin deep.
The seat is soft, wide and comfortable and the suspension is well sorted for ride comfort. Bajaj offers the Platina with two engine options. One is a 99.27cc unit churns out 8.2bhp and 8.05Nm of torque, while the other is a 102cc DTS-I engine, which produces 8.1bhp and 8.63Nm of torque. Both the engines come with a four-speed manual gearbox, with an all-down pattern. While the regular base variant gets a 13-litre fuel tank, Bajaj for some reason decided to shrink this to 11.5-litre in the DST-I variant. The regular Platina 100 is available in black, black maroon and flame red colours while the Platina DTS-I is available in candy red, ebony black and electron blue.
