The Kawasaki Ninja Z250 is the new quarter litre naked motorcycle launched by Kawasaki India. The Z250 looks like an exact descendant of its bigger siblings, the Z1000 and the Z800. The Kawasaki Z250 has majority of its mass up front and features a minimalistic tail design to give it a dynamic character. With an upright riding position, the bike is good for city riding as well as for touring. Kawasaki has given the bike a redesigned instrument cluster that sports an analogue tachometer with a multi-function LCD screen that displays a wide range of data like trip meters, fuel indicator and much more. The Kawasaki Z250 is powered by a 249cc, parallel-twin, fuel injected engine which is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. This liquid cooled engine develops 32bhp of power @ 11000rpm and 21 Nm @ 10000rpm of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and the bike has a top speed of 170kmph.
The Kawasaki Z250 has 37mm Hydraulic Telescopic Fork at front and Bottom-link Uni-Trak with 5-way Adjustable Preload shocks at rear. The bike Z250 has 290mm Single disc, Hydraulic, Two-piston calipers at front and at rear wheel 220mm Single disc, Two-piston calipers disk breaks. The Kawasaki Z250 is avaliable in White, Black and Red color in India. Z250 competes Suzuki Inazuma, Honda CBR 250R, Bajaj Pulsar 220F and Hyosung GT250R in the Indian market.
